Re: post question leep and endoFrom: Jamie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Oct 31 10:11:07 2001
Jenn, I have gone through lots of procedures for pre-cancer of the cervix for 3 1/2 years now. I had a cone biopsy done, leep and etc... I have had to have a pap done every 3 months for these 3 1/2 years along with a boipsy every three months. I am still going in for paps every three months, but my doctor has not done a biopsy in about 8 months, because my paps have been coming back normal. I still worry about her not having done a biopsy in 8 months though, because I have heard that paps are not 100% accurate all the time. I did not have endo, that I know of before any of this. I had nothing wrong with me before all of this and had my yearly paps and check ups. Then, one year my pap came back abnormal and all of this started. I did always have really bad cramps during my period, but I do believe that a lot of the procedures that I have gone through for pre-cervical cancer has a lot to do with what I am going through now. I was diagnosed with endo June 2001 of this year. My doctor performed a lap and removed the endo along with a large cyst that I had on my left ovary that was causing me lots of pain. I am sorry this is so long. If you would like to check out my web page that is about endometriosis and I have a page on Cervical Cancer along with my stories, please do so. My Cervical Cancer page is not completed yet, but I am working on it. I have not been feeling well at all lately....just started Lupron. Here is my url http://www.geocities.com/womenwithendo Pain free wishes, Jamie
