Re: LupronFrom: Lori (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Oct 30 06:57:26 2001
Hi, I was diagnosed with Endo. in June this year too. I had a laporospy to cut out the endo. and it helped for about 2 weeks! I was in pain very shortly after the sx healed. It was the Endo. My doc said that there was probably a spot that he couldn't see or get to so I still had some Endo. I decided to go on the Lupron and had my first shot on Oct. 2 and I'm going on the 2nd of Nov. to get my second one. I still have pain about 2 to 3 times a month for a couple of days at a time. I was told by other ppl on here and other bbs that Lupron puts your body or "tricks" your body into thinking it's going through Menopause and to expect many symptoms of Menopause. I don't know about you but I'm only 27 yrs. old and the thought of Menopause at 27 really scared me. (Which it really scared my husband too, cause of the mood swings :) ) Some of the other women had said that they experienced around the second shot headaches, mood swings, hot flashes, night sweats, and cold flashes. I haven't experienced anything except headaches. Thank goodness not very bad ones either. Like with everything else everyone acts differently to medications. I hope all goes well for you and that you have a successful life without Endo. Good Luck with having children too. I already had my 2 and only children before I got Endo. I guess I was lucky. Feel free to write to me.
-- God Bless and pain free wishes to all. Lori
