I had asked about the effectiveness of using bc pills for endometriosis and am curious as to how you would know if any specific treatment is working. Do people with endo have periodic laparoscopies or is it determined based on symptoms? I don't have too many symptoms and the ones I have are mild. Also, I have read people describe their endo in stages. How are these stages determined? Assuming that my endo will decrease when I go thru menopause, I asked my mother when she went thru it and she said that both she and her mother began menopause at around 46. Is there a strong liklihood that I too will begin menopause around that time? Is there any type of info documented indicating the percentage of people using different treatments with sucess? Also, is there some type of organization that I can contact that will be able to refer me to a doctor who specializes in treating endo in my area? Thanks so much!
