I know exactly what you're talking about with this situation being depressing. It's really hard when there's no one around that knows where you're coming from. I'm sorry that i can't offer many words of encouragement since i'm still trying to cope myself. What i can say, is that if you need someone to talk to, to feel bad with, to complain about this whole lousy situation with, just know that there's someone hear who will be happy to just listen or to share the pain with you.
