Hello Kasia!!

My name is Mandi, and I noticed that you are having problems with your pill. I will tell you that you are right when you say that a higher dose of estrogen stimulates the growth of endo. I too was diagnosed at the age of 19(am now 23), and have gone through many different experiments with the pill. I have, however found that one in particular has really worked. It is called LoOveral. It is higher in the hormone progesterone, which helps to supress the growth of endo. I was on it for almost a year and had only two major attacks of pain during that time. I however had to switch to something else, as it was causing horrible acne. So my doctor swithced me to Ortho-tricyclen, which clears up the acne, but I am back to having pain on a daily basis. I don't know which is worse having uncontrollable acne, or pain!!!!!! This is such a tough disease to fight at times, and becomes very frustrating, but I have to keep trying. I have only been on this new pill for a little over a month. I will try it for a few months, as that is what it takes for most hormones to get adjusted. So enough about me. I suggest you ask you doctor for something much lower in estrogen. If she/he does not want to even consider that, I would definitely look into seeking a second opinion. Hope I could be of some help.:-) Mandi Billman
