Re: how do you cope?From: AJ (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Oct 11 20:38:33 2001
Jennifer, Your dr's as SOOO WRONG in making you believe that this is an every day thing that you have to learn to live with. There are a lot of treatments available to us, some work for some women and some don't. It's very difficult to have endo, as if the symptoms and pain we have aren't enough, we get sent on this emotional rollercoaster. I do believe that you're headed the right way though. I think the best thing you can do with this disease is to learn all you can about it and talk to other women with the disease. It helped me a lot just to know that I wasn't alone. I'm not going to tell you that this easy to deal with, it's not. Sometimes it feels like you're at war with your drs, but you will get through it. If you want to be able to talk to more women with endo, there is a wonderful group sponsored by the Endometriosis Resource Association. You can go to their website at http://www.endocenter.org and there will be an addy for a yahoo group to join. I am a member there and it is wonderful for me. There are so many woman with so many experiences and they are all wonderful. You can make it through this. I do suggest learning everything you can about endo though, knowledge really is power, especially when it comes to endo. I know that sounds corny lol, but it is the truth. I know that I would have gotten into a lot of situations that I wouldn't want to be in if I had not have known as much about endo as I have learned. I hope this has helped you some hon. Take care Love and Prayers, Amanda (AJ) endogirl78@yahoo.com
