BCP's, Lupron, Lap., where do I go from here? :(From: Olivia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Oct 10 23:11:29 2001
My dear sweet endo friends, I'll tell you my story in a "nut-shell". I've suffered from endo for the last 10 plus years. I was FINALLY diagnosed a year ago November 2nd. At that time the surgeon cauterized all the implants he could find. I then went on a nine month course of Lupron...which I'm happy to say..did work. But now..my Lupron is done and my Gyn. has put me back on BCP's. Well...I'm in as much pain as I ever was...I can feel my symptoms "coming back" as I type, does endo come back this fast? I guess my other question is...what next? My Gyn. has mentioned a repeat laparoscopy. I'm questioning this...I mean...the 1st. lap didn't help all that much..why would a second? I mean..a lap. a year..do women do that? Doc. also mentioned pregnancy...and don't get me wrong..I wan't children more than anything..but now is just not a good time for my husband and I to go down that road. I guess I'm searching for anyone who's been in my position..what did you do? I am also looking for a friend or friends that can actually relate to me..my family and friend's are getting sick of this constant endo thing...they just don't understand how painful,depressing, and terrible this disease is. Well..I guess that's it...I sure hope that someone can help me? Take care everyone..and I hope to hear from you soon.
