Re: Vaginal Excema? Any possible connection to endo/cysts? I really need some help. From: AJ (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Oct 7 11:26:05 2001
Sarah, I have never heard anyone with endo describing the cracks and skin problems that you are having in you vaginal/anal area. For that you may want to see a dermatologist. As far as having endo, there are a wide variety of symptoms. Most common is pelvic pain associated with menses or chonic pelvic pain, pain with periods, pain with bowel movements, irregular periods, extremely painfull periods (pain that a few tylonel wont take care of), painful sex, constipation, diahrhea (mostly with periods, and the list goes on. An ultrasound can not diagnose endo. The only way to diagnosis endometriosis is through laprascopic surgery. If you are concerned about having endo, you can visit the ERC website at http://www.endocenter.org , they have a lot of info about endo, or if you want you can email me and I will send you more info. I hope that you find out what is going on with you and that you can find treatments to help. Feel free to email me privately.
