Re: Endo Treatment

Dear Sybille,

I will try my best to give you the details about my treatment, but It’s been such a long time since the diagnosis that I’m not sure if I can remember everything. And to be honest, my doctors were very vague about where the endo was found etc and the stage that it was in. If you’d like I can try to obtain that info from my doctor next time I see him and get back to you on that.

I was diagnosed by laparoscopy in June of 1998, I was 19 years old and had been experiencing the extreme pain since I was 15. I was put on Birth Control at 15 to attempt to manage the pain. That would work for a while, but then the pain would just come back two fold. Then, the doctors would change the brand of birth control and the pain would dissipate again for about a year, but it always came back. I played the game of switching birth control brands, a total of 5 times, until I was 19 and diagnosed with endo. That’s when my treatment began. Right now I am taking Nordette Birth Control and have been since June of 1998 and have not had cause to change with the combination of the coumadin. My PT’s are normal at around 14. I will try to obtain more info for you from my doctor as soon as possible.

Good luck with your treatment and I’ll pray that you too can become pain free.

Best Wishes,

Alex Brough
