Depo-Provera and endometriosis

Hi, I was diagnosed with endometriosis 12 years ago. At that time, I had a laparoscopic surgery and the lesions were cauterized. Of course, after one month or so the pain was back. After suffering for years, about five years ago I was put on Depo-Provera, getting the shots every 70 days. This was like a miracle for me!! First of all, is it really that "safe" to be on Depo for this long?? I can't seem to get an answer...just like hey it works don't knock it.... My symptoms seem to be coming back some or the Depo is not working as well??? Now I have been getting bladder symptoms too. I would like to get a laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy rather than an incision. Any pros or cons?? Also, what do you think about the Depo for this long?? Thanks!!!
