I got my new script of Lortab today in addition to the med that my dr wants me to use now to see if I have Bacterial Vaginosis. And on top of that I know that the dr that did the surgery that caused the vulvodynia used a bovie to cauterize the bleeders. I found out the other day though that the settings on a bovie also include cutting in addition to coag and some other things. So the thing is whether he used the cutting setting on that bovie to remove the excess skin.

I had dug up all the records from that period when I had the surgery b/c my gyn that I have now is so angry about what happened. A gyn didn't do this procedure on me in May of 1997. It was a urologist that did it on me and the family dr that I had at that time sent me to this urologist instead of a gyn even though I didn't have bladder issues. My gyn that I have now says it's understandable that the dr would have done the procedure if he had experience based on if I had bladder issues but since I didn't that's another story. So she said that this dr should have told me about his lack of experience, etc. I got no mention of risks and benefits from the procedure and my mother was sitting right there when I had the discussion with this dr. He did say that a gyn could have done the procedure for me but he didn't say that's where I should have gone. My gyn now is especially angry that the family dr didn't tell me that this should have gone to a gyn instead.

Another girl I talked to told me that probably the reason that the family dr sent me to the urologist any way even though I didn't have any bladder issues was b/c they were friends and he just wanted to get me out of his hair. It's hard to say at this point. All I know is that that surgery has caused such a big mess for me by causing vulvodynia as well as all the infections I keep getting. How it does it I don't know. It just does by the fact that tissue was destroyed.

Other than that I'm hanging in there. Well, it's 3 a.m. again (sorry I got to this note late) so it's time for me to head on out of here.
