Re: pain duration during cycle-how much time before damage is done? From: anonymous@obgyn.netTue Sep 25 14:21:02 2001
Hello Salena, Sorry to hear you are in constant pain. Adhesions not nessesarily become damaging!!! Adhesions are our inner scars. As much as an outside wound on your skin heals and become a scar and loosens naturally after a while again , yhe same happens in the abdomen(tummy). There a luckily not many people where inner scars are getting damaging (tighten too much e.g on the bowels or other essensial organs). You can loosen scars - if they make too much problems again by surgery - but that will leave new scars again.(thats why they won't do that as a regular treatment.) And endo leaves scars. But you can do a lot for your bowels to help them throught the "tight time" and ease the pain. - don't eat too big portions in one go - don't eat food, where you make the experiance "it blows you up" - increase high fibre into your diet - drink a lot (min 2 l water a day) - you might have experiance through your child to give it a "rub" on the tummy when it was too full. The same massage is very effective for adults as well. -a hot water bottle for at least 10 min increases the circulation and helps to heal and the bowels get inspiration to act propper. - you can add fennel and annais sead (reduses winds in the bowels) to your food or try it as tea - you might like it. - if you want you can go to an alternative practitioner - they can help you this lots more These are all tips for the adhesions, so I hope you'll find something what suits you, the best. But if the symptoms increase you have to talk to an doc and your endo specialist. Because all these tips don't spare your way to your check-ups, but hopefully they help you to get a bit painrelieve. All the best Sybille xxx anonymous@obgyn.net wrote:
