About $500 - $1000 not sure of the exact cost. Yes, most insurances cover it. My husband is in the Navy so I found a base that carries the shot so I don't have to pay for it. My doctors office said that I could get it from a an outside pharmacy (K-Mart, Rite-Aid, etc.) or have the dr office order it straight from the manufactor's and then the dr would bill me. I am suppose to go get my first shot this Friday and then take it to my dr's so I can begin the once a month shot for 6 months. I hope everything works out for you. Good Luck.
