Estrogen is what "feeds" the endo and causes it to bleed each month w your period. Most treatments are focused on ovualation suppression to try to help with the growth and bleeding of the endo. As most of us know, drs usually suggest hysterectomy when we are diagnosed. In some women it helps, in some it doesn't. An interesting bit of information- endo can produce it's own estrogen to thrive on, also the liver produces estrogen. Just something else to think about I guess.
