Bad menses pain after Laparatomy after rupture/ectopic pregnancyFrom: Henriëtte (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Sep 6 17:17:27 2001
Hello Forum, I am on a queste to try and find answers and wisdom to try and tackle my problems. I know this forum is about endiometroses but I hope you will permit me to pose some questions because I am quite desperate. November 1999 I (40 y/o mother of 2 children ) ended up having a rupture because of a (by me unknown) ectopic pregancy. Tube and fetus where sent to the laboratory of the University of Utrecht and there was no question of endiometroses. The cause was unknown. (personally i think it is caused by the medications I use for classic Trigeminal Neuralgia) I had emergency surgery in the middle of the night where they removed my right fallopian tube by doing a laparatomy after a laparascopy failed. Since than I am confronted with highly painfull menses that disabilitate me for about 1 1/2 to 2 days because the right leg keeps cramping up and the pain (like nasty backcontractions)in the back and belly make me vomit and make me feel pretty bad. It is accompagnied by fever approx. 38.5 C . I can only crawl from pain at those times and try and find a position that give a bit of relieve which is the fetus holding or "standing" like an animal on my hands and knees. After that my belly starts swelling up like a balloon and it will take the pressure of the back and than it is sort of ok because the menstruation will relly start . Dr (gp) prescribed brexine in the past, thought it was due to scartissue, but today he decided to describe hormones on top of it also to see if this will help. I have not taken any hormones since the pill now over 20 years ago because of the side effects ( many cystes in my breasts ) I had from these "medications" Can anyone fill me in to what is happening in my body? Why does this happen? Should I insist in seeing a gyneacologist? (After the checkup I was sent back to the gp and he took it from there) Advice is more than welcome. Sorry to border this board because I do not have endiometroses , but I really am quite desperate. Thank you in advance
