AJ andJenn...Thank You...From: KB (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Sep 4 14:26:51 2001
Thank you both so much for taking the time to post to me about my fear of having cancer. You both made me feel a lot better and calmer about my situation. I am sooo ready for a lap, I just want to know what's wrong. I'm in the process of finding a new doctor and I would really like to find a specialist, but I have a feeling I'm not going to find one under my insurance. I was scheduled for one in Mar 2001 and at my pro-op visit, I mentioned to my gyn. that I'd been having some blood in my stool. (Anyone else ever get that?) She was very concerned about it and cancelled my lap and sent me to a GI dr. He ended up doing a sigmoidoscopy that hurt worse than anything in my life! He had to stop at about 60% because of the pain. It took me 3 weeks to recover from that. I know several people who have had a syg and it was a little uncomfortable, but that's it. I don't know why it was so painful for me. Anyway, sorry to ramble, but I'm just so looking forward to getting a lap and finally getting some answers. Thanks again so much for your kind words!!!
