I posted earlier this past weekend. I have severe endo. without severe pain -I know my day is coming!! I had a lap. last April after having an endometrioma removed. There has never been spotting between periods. My periods have been on time and about 5 days. Yes, they are painful esp. in the back area.

Out of no where-two days after my last period ended, I started spotting. I finally called my gyn. They presc. a BC pill. I had to take 4,3,2, and then 1 daily. He wanted me to also go right into another pack imm. after compl. the first pack to stop another period from coming. I have been very anemic. Well, this didn't help one bit so after two weeks, they changed me over to progesterone in hopes of shutting me down completely. Well, I guess I was one of the weird ones. I started bleeding heavily, passing tissue, hurting, etc.

Today I went to see my dr. He thinks we should leave things alone. Let the hormones work out of my system and get back to where I was before starting medication.

He says I am up against three things. I'm having bleeding, severe endo., and had an abnormal pap in June. He wants me to settle down with the bleeding and come back Oct. 17 to repeat the pap. I asked him if I didn't stop the bleeding and go on and on and on, then what? His committ was then surgery. I was about to cry. I didn't ask what type.

Question if your still awake after this long drawn out story: What am I to do? How long can one bleed? Thank goodness for an understanding husband. I am 42 with two daughters. I DONT want surgery!!!!!

Question: Are all the endo. medications about the same? Why is he stopping with just BC pills and progesterone? Is it because I am older and a mother? I dont think a hyster. is always the answer.

OK-I have rattled enough. I wish I could go on back to school and teach my 2nd graders. I had to take a whole day off to sit at the dr. I want to cry but knowing that won't help and feeling sorry for myself isn't the answer either. I know there are many in my shoes with far worse problems.

Thanks to anyone who has taken the time to read and listen.
