Re: Suspected Endo, No Lap Yet, Question???From: AJ (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Aug 31 17:49:57 2001
KB, I was very concerned that they might find cancer. Cancer runs in my family so that didn't make it any better. You can give yourself quite a scare looking things up lol. that's what I would do too. I was diagnosed with CIN3 when I was 20, so cancer was a real concern for me. It's also natural to have apprehensions before surgery. Be assured though, if your dr even suspected cancer, he would more than likely tell you. All the symptoms of endo happen in other diseases as you have learned, but you have to learn also not to always expect the worse. Well, that's what I had to learn. I know that having endo is not an easy diagnosis to take, but for me it was a lot better than wondering what the pain and other symptoms were from. Having the lap was the best thing I could have done because then I knew what was causing my pain. I took control the best I could and learned all about endo that I can. I'm still trying to learn. Chances are they aren't going to find anything really bad. I know that it's scary, but it's best to know. Even if it is something bad, it's better to know earlier than to find out later. I'm pretty sure it's just nerves though. :) I hope I've helped in some way with my babbling lol. Take Care and God Bless, AJ
