Re: Cramping & back ache well after my periodFrom: Jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Aug 30 09:22:40 2001
Hi Unfortunately- we all have that pain. I would go to your gyn and tell them what is going on. The only way to diagnose endo is surgery but if you have all of the symptoms you want to get the diagnosis as soon as possible. CAT scans will not diagnose endo but will show any cysts you may have. Tell your Dr. what you are concerned about. Be sure to ask about their experience treating women with endo and what they know. If they have neverheard of the endo association or are offended that you came to a chat board-RUN don't walk to a Dr. who does know and care about this disease. People here or the endo association cam help you find a Dr. If a Dr. says they are a specialist check it out- thhere are fertility specialists that say they are endo specialists but are not registerred with the American Medical Board of Specialists as an endo specialist. If they are not registered they are NOT a specialist. Good luck to you and stay positive1 Get joy from the little things in life. Take care-Jenn
