Ann, I just wanted to point out that hysterectomies are not a cure for endo. I don't want to sound pessismistic, but I do want you to be informed. And if you do get a hysterectomy, they have to take your ovaries also or that defeats the whole purpose of the hysterectomy. I'm 22 and my doctor told me as soon as I woke up from my lap that I needed to get preg (which I couldnt do because of a weak cervix at the time) or that I needed a hysterectomy. I did my research because I knew that I could not get pregnant. I found out that a lot of women don't get relief after hyst. I also found out that endo can create it's own estrogen to thrive on, along with the liver and other organs! This information blew me away. lol. Please, make sure you know all of the facts before you have the hysterectomy. As someone else said, this is something that you can not take back. I wish you the best. :) Take Care and God Bless, AJ
