Re: hysterectomy and pain-helpFrom: AJ (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Aug 28 22:51:33 2001
Hi Jenn, I'm sorry to say that this is prolly still from the endometriosis. There is no cure for endo, so everything they do for us is just treatment. You may still have endo on your cul-de-sac or in other places. I don't know very much about hysterectomy and probs that can occur afterwards, but I would think it would start sooner than now if you were going to have complications after surgery. I'm not sure what is hurting. You might want to try lubricants if you find that you have vaginal dryness, also trying different positions may help. I have read that Lupron and other treatments in that class help the pain with intercourse due to endo, and it has helped my pain. I hope that you find answers to your questions and that I have been of some help. Take Care and God Bless, AJ
