I have been severely anemic for about 13 years, due to my endometriosis.
I am 28 years old. You do bleed on the inside, and your periods may be
heavier than you realize, especially if you have clots that pass during
your period. I am under the care of a hematologist (for the last 6
years) and receive periodic iron IV's at the local hospital. They
really help because I am so fatigued when I am anemic. I hope you find
some help--you might like to go ahead and have an appt with the
hematologist.
