Re: SurgeryFrom: AJ (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Aug 23 09:38:07 2001
Debby, Hello and welcome to the forum. Sorry we had to meet this way though. My advice would be to call your daughters surgeon, discuss your concerns with him. I've learned that some doctors would rather do surgery as soon as possible just to prevent further complications. Talk to him about your daughters boss being so incondsiderate and see if he will write a note to her boss. Most doctors don't mind doing this. I have had plenty that said it was no problem. They understand that alot of people don't believe that something is wrong with you if you don't look sick. That's one of the hardest parts of having endo. As for your daughters boss, he's a jerk. I don't understand how people can be so insensitive. Sometimes I wish that I could just slap some sense into these people!! Putting the surgery off may cause further complications, again it may not, but there really is no way to truly know. As I said, just have your daughter talk to her surgeon or you talk to him and I'm sure that he will write your daughters insensitive boss. (See I don't even know him and I dont like him lol) I wish you both the best of luck in this. I will be praying for you both. It's not only hard on her, but her friends and family too. Please let me know how things go, and if you ever need anything feel free to email me privately at any time. I wish you and your daughter the best. Take Care and God Bless, AJ
