Hi Kristy:

Your welcome *smiles*. That site was really informative wasn't it. The company who manufactures Elmiron did a comprehensive presentation of it.

Good thing you don't have IC as you may have had a reaction to the Elmiron. I have been really fortunate that I've not suffered any side effects from it and I have responded really well to it. My IC pain is finally getting to be manageable which I am so thankful for. But like any medication there is always a risk of side effects or reactions in some people. When someone has a chronic pain condition they are usually faced with making difficult choices in what medications they choose to use or not use.

Thanks for the additional info on DMSO, I didn't know it use to be used for an arthritic treatment. I can definitely say the garlic breath was a side effect for me, my husband stayed clear of me the day after the treatment lol, then it was gone. But a lil bad breath was worth it for me lol, that treatment alleviated pain that the elmiron treatment wasn't getting.

I sure hope that things are improving with your pain struggle too Kristy....it's just not fair that any of us have to live our lives in pain.

Warm hugssss and wishes
