Here is what happened at the dr's visit on Wed

Hi everyone,

I know that it's been a while since I've posted and I'm so sorry about that. I've been feeling so horribly.

I've been having to contend with a lot of pain inside of my vaginal area in addition to the vulvar stuff going on. And of course contending with the endo.

I wanted to let you all know how my visit to the dr on Wed went.

We did some talking about the endo aspect of staying on the Zoladex or going back on the pill and determining after each of those whether I'm going to need surgery for the endo again. We aren't sure yet so for now I'm going to go ahead with the next 3 months of Zoladex, I will be getting my 4th shot on the 17th.

The other thing that we talked about was what is going on inside of my vagina so she took a look at that area and when she pressed from the inside against my vaginal wall (the top part) with her one hand and my uterus with the other she got all the sore spots. So the plan for that is to go ahead and do a biopsy so that we can see just what is going on in there that is causing all of this and how it relates to the vulvodynia/endo (maybe on both of these).

I was told by a friend that had endo in the vaginal area and had it removed laparoscopically that this could be a pocket for the endo to grow. So we shall see.

I've also been bleeding and it could be a number of things so the culture will tell us just what is going on with that and whether it's an infection or not. I will get the results of that culture in about two weeks.

When the approval for the next 3 shots of Zoladex is granted I will be having number 4 next Fri. Then on the 30th is when I will be having the biopsy. I don't know how long it will take to get the results of that back.

As for the bumps on my cervix those are cysts. She didn't say what kind but I'm assuming the Nabothian cysts (cysts that are benign that sometimes appear and then disappear after a while).

I had a lot of cramping after the exam Wed nite but my meds were a big help to me with that. She also wants me to have the lidocaine jelly for inside and continue using the ointment for the outside.

I've also had to do some sitz baths in the last few weeks (not the last several days b/c of the bleeding going on) and that helped with the rawness that I didn't realize I had at the time but at least that area is looking pink again and sometimes helped ease the pain from that skin at the top of the vagina.

I had someone tell me that they thought it might be lichen sclerosis but when I looked it up on the Net I found out that this wasn't what I had at all. I don't know if this skin is a septum but from what she could see it didn't look like that at all.

But only time will tell for sure if that's what this is or if it's something else going on.

I'm tired of living in pain but I'm so thankful for my meds and all the support that I receive from you all.

I'm so sorry that I've not been there for all of you as often as I know that I should be but I've just been feeling so horribly.

Please know that you all are in my thoughts and to the newbies on the lists that I've not had a chance to welcome I would now like to say welcome to you and please know that I'm just an e-mail away if you ever need anything at all and I will do my best to help you.

Take care and lots of hugs to all. It's late now so I'm headed to bed.
