Hi,hon and welcome to the forum.I am very sorry for what you are dealing with. I was 8 when my problems began. I am now 24 and just had my seventh lap. I got a really good report this time, but in the beginning I would only last about 6 months between laps. I have pain on a daily basis even with constant birth control. I have no idea what a pain free life is like and the back pain is a contstant annoyance. I have heard that endo can turn into cancer and with your family history, I would start doing some serious research about your options. I know that having a hyst will not necessarily get rid of the endo and it is not always the best choice, but if you are done having your kids, that is an option as well. There are many sites you can visit. I am not sure of any right now, but I am sure that anyone here can refer you to one. I will be thinking of you and if you have any questions please feel free to ask or email me privately. Keep your chin up and a smile in your heart and know that you will get better.
