Hi Maryanne,

I had a similar experience with a TAH/LSO and later RSO. After the RSO I had very strong menopausal symptoms and it also showed on a blood test. I started taking Premarin 3 weeks after the surgery and was fine until about 4 months later I started having ovulation type pains. About another couple months of taking my basal body temp, having transvaginal ultrasounds and blood tests (after going off the premarin) showed I have ORS (ovarian remnant syndrome). I still ovulate and cycle. When I cycle I have pain very similar to a regular period (cramps, heaviness), but I also have a swollen lymph node that becomes very painful.

If you are on ERT- you probably don't need the soy supplements. If I were you, I would cut those out and see if that makes a difference. If not, try stopping the ERT. Your doc can do the transvaginal US to see if anything is going on. It is also possible that you are having pain related to healing. Also, if you start feeling anything that is cyclical in nature, try taking your basal body temp in the morning and chart that + your symptoms (I would at least do the charting of your symptoms now) to show your doc.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes,
