Hi Guys, from a very chilly South Africa, and a really miserable angel, really icky from 'flu.But, this will pass.Doctor has me on antibiotics as I can't afford to catch a secondary bacterial infection, so I am taking lactobacillus for thrush too, I feel like a pill bottle, if you shake me I will rattle.(hehe) Is IC similar to IBS, sorry for being so ignorant !!!! I too have cut out ALL caffiene Yen, and feel much better for it, unfortunatley I also find that starch helps keep me balanced - much less nausea, and I do not feel faint and disorientated during the day if I eat at least 3 serving of starch a day ie:2x slices bread, I cup cooked pasta/rice or a medium potato. It is too cold to eat salad at the moment, but veg soup is healthy and warming,or legume soup(although I also have to avoid certain beans, but peas and lentils seem to be fine.) Soya is a definite problem for me, which is sad as I do not enjoy red meat much.Dairy I also keep to a bare minimum, I do not use milk, and only have two slices of cheese every second day. My doctor diagx IBS a couple of months ago, but the eating plan has helped alot.(even though I do not stick to it religiously.) I really hope that it continue to do so. ((((ANGEL HUGS)))) LAUREN P.S. Forgot to add that my doc (GP) was furious with my gyn after last lap. My doc had a look (Lap) and decided the endo was too advanced to help me, and refered me to a gyn who did a lap, and said - NO ENDO !! My doc said that after repeted surgeries to remove endo (esp with diathermy-the way it is still done in SA ) - tough scar tissue forms, and often the endo grows between the organs and the scar tissue, he asked the gyn if he had looked there and the gyn said NO !! So many docs do miss or do not recognise endo when they see it.
