Hi, and welcome to the forum. I have had endo for about 15 years, I was only diagnosed 9 years ago. I have had 7 laps and 9 d & c's so I can fully understand where you are coming from. I am also researching the hysterectomy angle, but I still do not feel comfortable taking the leap into uterus-less ness ( wow, makes one tongue tied.) I would suggest that you do alot of reading and speak to some women who have had hysts, not having a period sounds great, at least that pain will be gone, but it does not gaurantee an endo free life at all. And then there are the problems that come with a hyst, bone loss, HRT, Sexual issues, Vaginal & Bladder prolapse. I am not trying to be negative, but these are just some of the things that came out in my research.BUT. I too am still concidering having one, at least I may get some of my life back, and my husband and kid's will have there wife and mom back to a large degree. So it is all a matter of what is best for each of us individually. Hope this helps ((((hugs)))) LAUREN
