Hi Mary, When I took Aygestin awhile back for only 6 weeks, I got very emotional, then really depressed. Fatigue and not sleeping well can also be signs of depression. You can check the depression.org website or others to check the list of symptoms for depression to see if they match up with what you're going through now. Depression can cause sadness, but sometimes also lack of emotion, irrational behavior, anxiousness, "brain fog", and lots more. You should talk to your doctor about this and maybe they can put you on very low dose bcp instead of just the straight progestin. Good luck!
