Re: 2nd opinionFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon Jul 2 18:31:16 2001
I was really concerned about your post. I think that your gyn should help you answer those questions. Make your doc sit down with you and give you some anwers. It sounds kind of scary to me. I have had sooooo many diff. gyn's because of situations like these. If your doctor is not outright informative about everything going on with you in a way that you can understand then you might want a second opinion. It never hurts to get one. Especially when we're talking hyst. That is a major thing. Another thing that concerns me is I was wondering if your doctor told you that you would be fine after a hyst. Because if you do research and speak to many women on this forum they will tell you that they had a hyst. and are still dealing with endo and complications. Please sweetie, look at all of your options before doing this. This is a big step. I just read another post not too long ago just like yours.I stress the fact of reading and research. Inform yourself and teach yourself because most of the doc's out there are not doing that for us. I read that you are 30 and have your tubes tied. I assume you have children? Hopefully. You are young to have this surgery as well because of the hormonal treatments you will have to endure afterwards. I know I keep dragging this on but it really worries me that doc's are stressing women to have hyst. when in fact it does not always cure the patient. Please Please think this thru. Please weigh out all of your options and read all that you can on this subject. I guarantee it will help. If you ever need anything, please feel free to email privately if you want. Take care and pain free wishes, Your fellow endo sister, Kristi R. P.S. I would definately get a 2nd opinion!!!
