Awaiting Official Diagnosis

I spent some time today looking over the last few days of postings. I have been doing a lot of research since my general MD suggested that I might have endo after five weeks of painful cramping. I have had an ultra sound and was referred to a gyno. I am now on my third week of antibiotics "just to make sure it's not an infection". The gyno suggested Laproscopy be considered when I return tomorrow, if the pain has not subsided. I have suffered with beyond painful periods, but have been on Depo Provera for five years... the first doc thought that should have healed me. So here I am, five weeks after the first doctors appointment, still awaiting relief. I am a police sergeant, and have been on light duty for four weeks due to the cramping and pain in my lower back - can't exactly wear a 12 pound gun belt. The depression of constant pain has been overwhelming, for me, my family and coworkers... I am an overly positive, jovial person. I am looking forward to relief, and glad to have found a community that sounds truly warm, loving and understanding. Will check back in after appointment tommorrow. Jan
