Hi Cindy:

You have to sit down and talk to your doc, and be very firm about your wishes...yes, it is your body, and you know how you feel. I was lucky enough to have a new gyn who was willing to do a partial hyst on me (just my right ovary/tube), and for me, that ovary was what was causing all my pain. You really can't tell if it will help or not until it is done...and what my doc said, was, "What if I go in and don't see any endo, what do I do? Do I close? Or do I try to remove what MAY be causing the pain?" Which in my case, was the right thing to do...I had a large hemorrhagic cyst on my right ovary, for probably over a year, and that seems to have been causing all my pain. I think for some of us, it may be a good way to go...so...go ahead and tell your doc about me, and see if he is willing to try to help you without giving you a whole hyst...I think it is worth a shot.

Sending you pain-free wishes,

~~Marcia~~
