My name is Kristi and I would like to share something I wrote not too long ago. This is dedicated to all of you angels who know what I am going through. Pass it on if you want. I would love to hear what you think! Here it goes: A Life Of Endo You've searched and searched most of your life. Oh! How exciting it will be. The dreams flow out of you, There are so many possibilities! You can go where you want to go, You can be all you want to be. But wait! I ask, What about me? I too had these hopes and dreams, A life of sailing the seas. A life of soul searching fun fantasies. But now I've learned of this disease. It hit me like a tidal wave, Crushing all of my will. The constant pain and sickness, Erasing all the ambitions I wish to fulfill. I wake up to a positive new day, And in a matter of minutes the pain takes it away. Am I being punished? What have I done? Everything I had hoped for has all gone wrong. This is not the life I had planned for me. Consuming drugs and having surgeries just to be pain free! Sadly to say even those don't last, Enabling your mind to go crazy fast. The wish of a child might be no more, This disease has ripped out all that is pure! It eats your organs and beats your mind, Causing your daily life to be confined. So now I ask what is left for me to endure? I guess devoting my life to find a cure. Not everyone knows how their life will end up. To find a way to live pain free, That's a journey I will never give up! Kristi A. Rose
