Hi Christine,

I also have PCOS and endo - a hysterectomy will not cure either. I had a complete hyst (tvh/bso) 5 years ago. You can read my opinion about the hyst from a previous post here: http://forums.obgyn.net/endo/ENDO.0008/0545.html

I still deal with the insulin resistence -- which is a precursor to type 2 diabetes. PCOS is a poorly named condition because the ovaries are only a symptom, not the cause of the insulin resistence. If you need more info definitely check with the PCOS forum.
