surgery tomorrowFrom: Stephanie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed May 30 18:06:07 2001
Hi I am new to the board. I am 24. I have had endometriosis since I was 14, maybe earlier, that is when I remember the pain starting. I have had an ectopic pregnancy two years ago that left me without my right tube. I have done the lupron, tried continuous birth control pills, and nothing has helped. I have been in worse pain than usual however the last month. I have been calling all my doctors questioning why my pain was so intense. My family doctor sent me for ultrasound for what she thought was my appendix, turned out I have a 6 cm mass on my right ovary, same side as the ectopic. I finally got in to see my gyn today, and I am scheduled for surgery at 9 am in the morning. I am so scared. I don't know what to expect, even though I had surgery with the ectopic. I didn't have much time to get cold feet before, it was emergency surgery. Wish me luck.
