Carolyn, I have done both and I would definatly recomend having the surgery first b/c if you don't have endo, there is no reason to put yourself through the Lupron. I was on it for 3 months and they were he--. I did not have a bad experience with the surgery, it was my first as well. I think the anxiety of it all was worse than the actual procedure and recovery! Best of luck!
