Re: New and learningFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon May 28 17:07:37 2001
Fair, When I had my first laparoscopy I had excruciating pain afterward but the pain that I was feeling wasn't endo pain, it was post-op pain. It took 4 months for me to get rid of the post-op pain that I had b/c of all the work that was done as well as to give my organs a chance to go back to normal. With my second laparoscopy (which included a hysteroscopy and D&C) it only took me 2 weeks to recover from it b/c the work wasn't as extensive but yet she did find endo and removed it. In the latter part of last year and in to part of this year my endo started recurring. I was hoping for another laparoscopy to get rid of what was in there before doing this treatment that I'm on right now but she said not right now. So we shall see if maybe I end up having surgery after this is done. Also, the first period after a laparoscopy is going to be quite painful but with each cycle after the lap it will get easier. At least that's what I've heard from some. Please remember that everyone is different. I hope that this is of some help to you and please feel free to e-mail me privately any time. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html Owner: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Endo_Vulvodynia_PCOS http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Zoladexforendometriosis Yahoo!
