Embarassing Q, Hence the Anonymous Sender Address

Hi all, I have an embarassing question to ask and didn't want to show how niave i can be, so please excuse me for sending this anonymously. Does anyone here know what should and should not be expected to show up in a barium enima? I ask because we think I have adhesions from my last lap and have had some bowel or intestinal problems attributed to the "probable adhesion(s)." So, they did a barium enima to r/o intestinal blockage. Funny, or not so funny, part that has me concerned is that the radiologist's report has under FINDINGS: Apparent status post splenectomy. Now, I know I have not had my spleen removed in any surgery and the gastro guy didn't even notice that as he was so rushed when I saw him he hadn't even looked at the x-rays or report before I got there. He literally held them up to the ceiling light (ugh!) My pc is a total idiot in regards to all of my health issues and just laughed it off. My gyn thinks it was an error but that I do infact have an adhesion, which if it's not really causing a lot of trouble, is best left alone or going in to remove it may cause even more adhesions. They were going to do a CT or MRI but ins. denied it and recommended an ultrasound, but they aren't doing that now cuz adhesions would not show on that they say. Also, I have diverticula all throughout my g.i. tract from subcranial to the intestines and in between. Isn't that odd for someone young? Please advise whether I should be concerned that my spleen was not seen and/or the radiologist saw something (an adhesion or something else maybe?) that caused him to believe it was removed. Told you this was embarassing....Thank you for your thoughts. Peace and love to all.
