It's an implant, or depot, and what it does is shrink as the month goes on, giving you a measured dose of the medication as the month goes on. I did go on it 4 times, because it always helped me, to some degree, except the last 6-month go-round...I always had daily pain throughout the whole time, but also it is because most of my endo was gone, and I didn't know it, as my pain was just caused by my right ovary, which is gone now, with no more of the endo pain...
