Hi Kristy:
It was the 3.6 depot, and the doc put it in the same spot every time,
about 2 and a half inches to the right and down of my navel. First he
put in an anesthetic shot to numb the area, less than a minute, and then
right away he put in the depot, less than a minute too, and then I would
hold a piece of gauze right there for about a minute, then he put a
bandaid over it, which you leave there for about a day...from start to
finish, less than 2 minutes. And it really did not hurt after the
anesthetic...you need to insist upon the doc doing it, not a nurse, and
you don't have to look at what he/she is doing, and thus it would lessen
your anxiety by not looking (just a thought).
Hope this helps for tomorrow!!
