Re: 1st timer....Scared and confused..Danazol (Kristy)From: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri May 11 17:13:32 2001
Marcia, I know that I just responded under the response for Vickie but I'm going to add on to this. The girl that told me that I had to come and pick up the prescription (this was last week) told me that my dr doesn't give injections so that means I'm left with the assistant. I would rather my dr do it even though I've asked for the assistant that has been there the longest. I can handle getting an injection such as a vaccine in my arm or backside but not my tummy. After having seen my mother give herself insulin it makes me cringe. I have also been told that it's going to hurt for a few days afterward. I'm not sure I can deal with this. And it's so frustrating that as the day gets closer the more I cringe, and as soon as I have that nitemare I have to wake myself up from the nitemare. I don't know if I can ever be comfortable with this even though I told my dr yes to this. I only said yes just to keep the peace and now I'm feeling like I must be stupid for having put myself in this situation. I just hope that she will understand. My mother and dr say it's not that bad. In my mother's case she was on insulin. It's the thought of that needle going in to my tummy no matter how deep it is. I'm absolutely terrified. I'm contemplating calling the manufacturer for more info. And get this, after I took that script to the pharmacy I got a call from my dr's office from that same girl that said to get the script to take to the pharmacy and that my dr doesn't give injections. She said that my dr had called to have the medicine ordered from a pharmacy in Orlando and that it will be delivered to the office on Mon. I'm sorry but I'm really scared about this and trying not to be. At least I'm not afraid of the medicine itself. Just the needle going in to my tummy even though there's muscle under that skin. I'm not terrified of getting vaccines, just this in my tummy. Sorry for repeating myself. I will figure out how to tell this to my dr when I see her on the 16th. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html Yahoo!
