BLEEDING BETWEEN MENSTRUAL CYCLESFrom: Michele (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Apr 30 22:52:35 2001
I am a forty-one year old woman who previously had very regualary cycles (every 28 days). The past three months I have experienced unusual bleeding one week prior to actually menstruating. The blood is of a reddish brown color with some shedding/clots. There is enough blood that it gives me the false impression that I am actually on my period. However, afer a day or two it tapers off a bit. Then a five days to a week later my period actually begins with the normal red flow bleeding. I certainly don't want to bleed for two weeks straight! And the "false start" is so unpredictable. Can this be relate to pre-menopause? Is this possibly related to urterine cancer symptoms? I am too embarrassed to visit my gyn while the flow is happening. Please help me.
