Re: PEP- NEED ADVISE - For Tiredness and NauseaFrom: Pep (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Apr 30 22:50:02 2001
Hi Lauren and everybody, I am sorry you've been going through a lot. Though, you must be starting to feel a bit better..you are writing to us more now. I surely hope that's a good sign. I sent you a post right before your surgery, but you probably didn't get it in time. Anyway it was about breathing and it amazingly works specially with tiredness and also with pain. There are many different breathing exercises and you might be familiar with some, but at the moment, you might want to stick with the simplest yet much effective one. Inhale and exhale very very very slowly and deeply (but not so that you feel sore), both ways through NOSE - mouth closed. Maybe you'd like to start with 10 (roundtrip) breathings like that and see.. You can do this as often and it'd be even more effective if you can do this with your thoughts concentrated on your tummy and about healing, but it still works even when you are doing something else as long as you do this consciously. About nausea, I have read that ginger tea and peppermint tea help. And below is a link to some accupressure points guide for nausea - sorry the site is in gibberish, but I just needed to show you the drawings. You might want to try to press with your thumb on the red dot on the hand and the dot on the arm (about 1 1/2 inch down the wrist) in those drawings. http://health.lycos.co.jp/library/4000/w4003015.html And as a super healing food, you might like to try soft cooked brown rice (organic, if possible). Ciao for now. Take care. Pep
