Hi Kristy,

My name is also Kristy and I started having problems with my periods at about the age of 16 even though I didn't know just what was going on. But when I turned 25 not only did I have a lot of pelvic pain (that also kept me confined to bed) but I had some bloating and a pulling sensation inside of me.

I had my first laparoscopy in Aug of 1997 and I was diagnosed with endometriosis and scar tissue.

Laparoscopy is the only sure way to diagnose endometriosis. An ultrasound may show cysts if you have a problem with that. Yes I do have a problem with ovarian cysts but that's b/c of a hormone condition not related to endo.

I'm 29 now and Aug will be 4 years since I was diagnosed with endo.

I've been in the lurk mode for a while now b/c of not feeling well physically but I just wanted to respond to your post.

Please feel free to e-mail me privately any time.

===== Kristy :)
