Hi Cindy, welcome to the forum.I am 30 and I have tree kids (ages 12, 8 & 1) thank GOD. and stage IV endo and adenemyosis. We also considered a hyst, and decided against it when we had done all the research. It really is MAJOR surgery, and you only have about 50% chance of significant reductions of symptoms and/or pain. I didn't like those odds.( But of course you don't have that yucky period anymore). But after surgery 12 days ago, that has done nothing to alleviate my symptoms or pain, actually worsened them.Pain all the time is about 6/10, about 8/10 around ovulation, and lets not even get going on period pain, and it's 24/7.So here I am considering a hyst again. I am doing lot's of research AGAIN, and will see what we decide this time. HOrmone treatment is not an option for me, as I suffer from SEVEREdepression when I start messing with my hormones. I wish you luck, lets keep each other posted on how our decisions are going. Love and PFW LAUREN
