Hello Friends, I'm a married 40 yr. female who's suffering from severe abdominal pain. I was in the emergency room yesterday for 5 hours and was told that I need to have an Laparoscopy done. But first I shall back up a bit. On April 25, 2001 I went to see my OB-GYN who I really thought I could trust. Needless to say the woman doesn't know what she's doing. She only took a pregnacy test, which 19 yrs ago I had a tubal done. However, she ran no other tests, and I told her of all the pain I was having & also not having regular menses too. She just told me I should begin taking birth control pills. I was so devestated. My stomach looks like Im 7 months pregnant, and I'm constanlty in pain 24/7. Also trying to have intercourse with my husband is painful as well. I'm so frustrated & now I must find an OB-GYN in my area. I reside in Southern Ca So I have been surfing the net for hours now, and ran across this site. It's great that I can have someone to share/vent my story too. I have also read some other postings & it rips my "heart" apart when some doctors' don't care about anything but money, and NOT helping the patient. I'm also "disabled" and have to cope with my disabilites too. Oh well, thanks so much to those who took the time to read my story.
