I have been asking her for 4 years at my yearly exam why I have such pain in my bowels during my periods. She has never once mentioned the possibility of having endometriosos, let alone done any tests. I accidentally found this message board which mentioned pain in the bowels while I was looking up polyps of the cervix (she discovered this during my last visit). I have severe pain in my bowels during the first or second day of my period. Sometimes it hurts so much I just have to "freeze" and not move a muscle for several minutes until it passes. I have been treating myself with tylenol for the pain, but wish there were a better answer. I am glad to know that this is not "just in my head".... Thanks for sharing your stories.
