Hi Anj:

I haven't ever taken either one, but they are analgesics, and and good for menstrual cramps...they are kind of like NSAIDs or Motrin, so take with food...for a more complete description, Ponstel (Mefenamic acid) and Cataflam (diclofenic acid) generic name in parens, look here:

and choose the name of the drug at the top, and it will tell you more there.

I think they would both be safe for you, but you might want to check the link...I haven't had a period in a long time, but you might want to try Aleve...that is what gyns used to use to lessen cramping, and I found it works for me.
