Post surgery pain

Hi, I had surgery 9 weeks ago and am still in pain. Everyone, including my doctor, thinks I should be back to normal by now but I am still in pain. I thought maybe the internet may have some helpful information and found this site. Perhaps one of you may be able to lead me to something helpful.

I had a full hystorectomy (cervix & uterus) in 1993. Recovery was very painful (10 weeks). However, I don't feel I ever fully recovered. I have been unable to shop without having pain in my right side, back and traveling down my legs, especially while in the refrigerated sections of the grocery store. I've been treated for arthritis, Fibromyalsia, and by a Chiropractor. A little over a year ago I had a pelvic exam and ended up in the emergency room 12 hours later with intense pain. At that time a vaginal ultrasound revealed a cyst on my right ovary. I was treated with pain medication and sent home with instructions to see my regular physician, who gave me additional pain medication and advised no action as the cyst would go away on its own. (In the meantime, I'm still being treated for Rheumatoid Arthritis & Fibromyalsia) Well 10 weeks ago I woke up to the same pain and thinking it was arthritis, I continued to work while taking pain medication. I did this for 4 days until I could not walk. I tried to get an appointment with my physician but they "could not fit me in for 2 weeks" so I called a Gynocologist thinking maybe it was a bad kidney infection. He seemed fairly confident that it was endometriosis and recommended a Laparoscopy. He advised prior to the proceedure that if it was as he suspected the right ovary would need to be removed and if that was revealed he would go immediately into surgery to remove it. Four hours later I came out of surgery with both ovaries removed, my bladder, bowels and pretty much my entire insides lasered because I was infested with endometriosis & adhesions. What I don't understand is how could I have that much endometriosis after I had a hystorectomy and why am I still hurting 9 weeks after surgery? (Ironically, my pain in on the left side.) My disability insurance wants to know the same thing and have stopped all income after the standard hysto 6 week recovery.

I know you ladies are not professionals but sometimes experience is better than formal education. Does anyone have any insite or suggested resource?

Thanks in advance it has helped just sharing this with others who will understand.
